None of those seem to be able to use the keyboard via your iPhone/iPad tho :(

Not sure what you mean, I use Rowmote keyboard from my iPad and my iPhone everyday

So does the Apple Remote App (May not work inside XBMC, haven't tried since I really use rowmote)

Thanks guys but I must be missing something. Tried constellation, commander can't seem to be able to use the k/b off the apps to input text onto XBMC tho :(

Tried rowmote pro and that doesn't connect! the official iOS Remote app doesn't work with the k/b in XBMC :(

Well you're not missing anything. It seems that after Commander's new update (yesterday) when you enter a page that includes a text entry field, such as a search page, the app looses communication with XBMC. If you back out of the page then communication is reestablished. It only seems to happen within plugins as you can enter text within the main XBMC app without dropping out. I do hope the developer updates soon.

I've not actually updated that app, so will hold off for now. Thanks for the heads up.

Did you install the rowmote assistant on the ATV itself? From NitoTV?

are you on the same network?

without that it won't connect.

Didnt know about the rowmote assistant. Thats kinda annoying needing to install NitoTV jsut for that.

You can do it manually if you want, nitotv is just a front end.

Code:
apt-get update
apt-get install wget
wget http://www.rowmote.com/com.rrr.rowmotehelper-atv2_3.3.5-4_iphoneos-arm.deb
dpkg -i com.rrr.rowmotehelper-atv2_3.3.5-4_iphoneos-arm.deb
