Yeah, no change here as well. I chose in store pickup, and the (estimated) date it showed when I checked out was September 22. I've had some not so great experiences with iPhone pickups in the past so I'm trying to decide if I want to just cancel now and take my chances with Verizon/Apple on release day.

At least for Verizon, I've been able to order for in store pickup the morning of release...

I'm also considering a similar case. How does this work exactly? I thought I had to go to the Verizon store when they opened. In your route, are you able to order the phone for pickup from verizon.com on the release date? any idea when the pickup option will be available?

When it comes to Apple product pre-orders at Best Buy, if you opted for in-store pickup, then you'll be fine. If you picked delivery, then it's honestly a toss up if you'll actually receive it on release day. I speak from experience. They're notoriously slow with updating statuses & usually will wait until the last minute to post the dreaded "delayed" message.

Hopefully your luck is better than mine has been with them. Godspeed.

When I did this for the XS Max, I basically logged into Verizon at 8:00 am on release day and I was able to order for store pickup that morning. Prior to around 8:00 AM on release day, in store pickup wasn't an option. Things may have changed since then though. Also, if you ordered from Best Buy, just cancelling the order may not be enough to release the account upgrade hold on your account so that you can order from Verizon immediately, so you may need to deal with that as well (which is why I'm thinking about cancelling now so I can get it out of the way.)

I keep hearing though that if we have a pre-order for in store pickup at Best Buy that we should be okay...

I have ordered through Verizon, but shows a delayed delivery. That is why I was thinking of checking if I could do a store pickup.

AT&T oversold pre orders and canceled mine… Best Buy is showing Saturday pickup and delivery for all standard sized pro models. Is this legit?

Last year, I didn't get the "ready for pickup" email from Best Buy until Friday morning right before the store opened. So if you chose pickup, I would probably wait until mid-day Friday to cancel your order if you don't see any movement. If you chose shipping, you'll know that your phone is about to ship if the "cancel" option goes away (button turns grey).

I am also in the same situation. Ordered iPhone 15 Pro 512 GB immediately when BB site went live. Still in "Get it by Release Date: Fri, September 22."

That's good to know, thanks. Do you remember if there were any other changes to your status before that? Usually, I think it cycles through a couple of steps like "Preparing your order" or something. Right now, mine says "Pre-ordered: We'll let you know when it's ready."

I honestly don’t remember if there were any other status changes last year. But I shop at Best Buy a lot and have placed a lot of pickup orders. Usually, the day before release, the order status will change to “Preparing for pickup tomorrow.” Hopefully that will happen on Thursday.

mine has been updated to “Preparing for Pickup Tomorrow.” as well... Order was placed the day after on 9/16 btw (15 pro).
Luck of the draw with supply I guess...

Did you get an email about the status change or did you just notice it when you checked status?
