Beta 2 and Airmail 3 - full screen zoom, cannot return back to normal size

installed beta 2 of Catalina and I just noticed that in airmail, if I click reply or new message and, because I clicked one window to be full screened at one point yesterday, I cannot have that window or every new reply or new message to just be a normal size pop out. It's always full screen now.
I have filed a feedback form for both airmail and Apple.
Many thoughts on how I can rectify. I've uninstalled and redownloaded, still same. Ugh.

That sounds like an issue with Airmail. Feedback to the developer seems appropriate.

With Apple Mail, all you need to do to get a window out of full screen mode is click the green stoplight button and it will return to normal size.

i believe you can't join the beta for mac anymore. They are still open for iOS thou: https://testflight.apple.com/join/1AcpfFq3
