Anybody else having issues with AirPlay 2 on Music? HomePods show up and connect, but there is no audio.
Using the system sound option works!

It's been this way for a while for me. I end up connecting HomePods via AirPlay from my iPhone or iPad for music while using my iMac.

I was having Airplay issues on an earlier Monterey beta. It got better in 3, and now it's messed up again in 4. Cannot stream from Music to my Airplay network.

Mine reliably does not work with it enabled on any system from Catalina to Big Sur and Monterey. This is on Mac Pro and M1.

Tried with Music Enhancer and Sound Check on and off, no luck. Then, this morning, it works. Happened like this once before. No idea what the bug is, or even how to report, since it's now working.

I'm now on Beta 21A5294g and I can once again check the AirPlay box in Music and play from my M1 iMac to my HomePod mini stereo set up on my desk....

same build here. M1 MBA. Mine worked for a day, and now doesn't work again. Checking the Airplay box shuts off all sound. Ticking it off, it plays fine through computer speakers. Making me crazy and sad.

Same here now. Worked just fine yesterday, but now it doesn't work to check the box and turns from a check mark into a "-" and doesn't play anything. Works fine to play from the iMac speakers though.

It's for discussing all issues related to music so we don't have multiple threads like this one
But I think this thread is focused on something specific related to Music and AirPlay...No problem in having a new thread to discuss a specific issue, in fact it is better in my opinion. I'm not sure why people in these forums don't see the benefit of having a new thread for something more specific.

@ErikGrim you have also commented in these threads....I don't understand the problem in users talking about our issues without the thought of having a MacRumors user tell us "oh it's covered". Not everyone research and stalk these forums every single minute or let alone every day even with family and work commitments for example.

It's the first sticky thread in this forum. It's there because there's lots of people discussing issues around that one single app, so you are more likely to get help.
