Beta and Smart Battery Case

So I have an iPhone 8 in a Smart Battery Case. When i installed the beta, the case stopped charging when connected to the phone, passing charge through to phone, connecting CarPlay etc. When disconnected from the phone it charges perfectly well, and charges the phone when not connected to power, but just doesnt when the phone is connected. It’s not covered by any of the smart case recalls. It came back to life during, IIRC, beta 5, but has stopped working again since.

I presume this is a beta software bug but can’t see much else online about it? Or do I have a duff case? Anyone experienced this?

If you look in the feedback app where you reported the issue, under the Recent Similar Report section it will give you a very rough estimate of all the reports, ie More than 10, Less than 10. This might help you determine the root cause.
