We at Kodu are pleased to announce the Limited Beta, for our first iPhone app: Project Universal.

Project Universal is the working title for a new movies application that gives you
- movie showtimes about to start near you
- a list of closest cinemas
- and information about the latest and soon to be released movies and more..

As a beta member we believe that your feedback and critique will help us shape the future direction and design of this app.

If you are a MacRumors member in the UK, who is also somewhat of a movie buff, we would love to hear from you! Drop us a line at joinbeta@kodu.co.uk to take part.

We've attached a sneak peek of some of the Project Universal screens below, any feedback and critique is much appreciated.

Hey, not in the UK..but just wanted to say I like this interface better than the Flixster movie app.

Seems much cleaner :).

WOW! PLEASE make this international o_O (Brazil, here)
This thing looks sexy and waaay better than Now Playing :) If you want someone to test outside the US/UK, send me a message.

You could post your beta requests at a site dedicated to beta testing. BetaTestingZone.

Hope this helps, your app looks pretty nice!

US Support

Guys, i'm sure you'll be glad to know that we're almost done adding support for the US as well :). We should have a Beta version including US support ready by the end of the week.

Drop us a line at joinbeta@kodu.co.uk if you would like to get your hands on it!

Ready to Launch!

Guys, we're almost ready to launch! and we've got full US support as well
We have decided to extend this private Beta and keep it going throughout the lifetime of the app. This means our Beta users (you guys!) will always get exclusive access to new features before newer versions of the app hit the app store and your feedback will help shape the future of the app. We still have spaces left in the Beta, so those of your who are interested please get back to us at joinbeta@kodu.co.uk.

App submitted to the App Store

Guys,

App has been submitted to the App Store. Hopefully launching this week. It will only be available for the US at the moment. We will expand into the UK very soon.

There have been a lot of request from different countries and we will try our best to launch in those areas as soon as possible!

Do you still need testers from the UK? I'm happy too if required. I've used most of the appstore movie apps and they aren't that great to be honest :)

Movies Now! launched

Guys, we are pleased to announce that the free version of Movies Now! is out on the AppStore, with the paid one in the pipeline. It's US only for now, UK support coming soon. Check it out at http://bit.ly/sfjOq

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 3_0 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/528.18 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0 Mobile/7A312g Safari/528.16)

Just installed, GREAT movie app. Good job on the UI.

Beta v1.0.1

Added in many performance improvements and UK Support (now upto 85%).

UK, Canadian support

Hey Guys, we had to pull the UK version from the App Store due to many users facing crashes in OS3.0. I can safely say that we have rectified these issues and now have 100% coverage for Canada (+ Movietickets.com) and UK (Working on a Ticketing System). We've also chosen to shift straight to v1.1 due to the time taken for approval process. You'll see many new features in this version!
