Thank you, thank you, thank you, to everyone who helped beta test our newest feature...
100's of Ringtones!
While Apple still has the update in review (since March 1st!!!), as out beta testers know, the primary change was web-based. So, we have gone ahead and activated the web-based feature!
While 100sounds is first and foremost a multipurpose soundboard app (and a bestselling one at that) a common request was to use some of the sounds as ringtones. Because we're nice guys, we obliged, but that meant manually emailing specific sound files to end users and having them turn those files into ringtones using third party software we recommended. Also, because the sounds were developed for the
100sounds soundboard app, the sound effects were intentionally short. But ringtones need to be longer.
So, we've converted hundreds of sounds into longer ringtone files!
We also added dozens of musical clips (classical, jazz, country, rock, etc.) that didn't make sense as sound effects for the
100sounds app, but make great ringtones!
You can now use the support button on the (i) info page in the app to request HUNDREDS OF RINGTONES! That's right, you don't need to email us... You can request and receive ringtones 24x7!
Simply enter your email address, agree to use the ringtones for personal use, and then select individual ringtones to be emailed to you. PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU TYPE YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS CORRECTLY.
Then, ON YOUR PC OR MAC (where you run iTunes), read the email from No Tie Software. Double click on the attached ringtone files, or drag them into iTunes and you should be able to sync them to your iPhone! Change the default ringtone in Settings -> Sounds, or assign individual ringtones to each friend in your Contacts! Heck, you can now have more ringtones than you have friends!
And, for now, we've kept the price at $0.99! So you get hundreds of sounds in a sound fx player, plus hundreds of sounds for ringtones! It's like two apps in one!
We hope you'll enjoy this new feature, (and post a good review on iTunes) and continue to send any suggestions to us. This is a great example of those suggestions being put to use to make the product better!
