Bets on when Big Sur will be released to the public?

Wondering if there was any consensus when Big Sur will likely be released to the public?

Last year, 10.15 came out on October 7th. Years prior, macOS updates came out about the 3rd week in September. Wonder if this year it'll be back to September, or if we can expect it in October?

As iPhones will probably be delayed by a few weeks this year, I'm also wondering if iOS 14 might not launch until October this year, or if Apple will just release it for existing devices as usual in mid-September?

I know no one knows until Apple announces it, but just interested to hear people's thoughts.

I think there will be a separate event where they launch the first Apple Silicon systems and also Big Sur.

I would expect this to come a bit after the iPhone event, but who knows. Big Sur looks much more stable than Catalina at this point in time, so it may hinge on the AS systems.

Mid October considering WWDC was a bit late this year.

Late October or early November would be my guess. Apple will want to capitalize on the holiday season. We should start to see some supply chain leaks in early September corresponding to a MacBook Air/Pro refresh, unless Apple keeps the same design and just updates the internals.
