For at least a month now, I have noticed my iPhone 15 Pro doesn't use as much battery power despite using it all day. At the end of the workday, I have much more battery left. Did a recent update fix a battery-wasting bug?

Yes, probably iOS 18.6 which was released July 29th, almost a month ago. According to what majority of people have said, this update improved the not-so-good battery life of 18.5.

iOS 18.6 has received a couple of minor updates (18.6.1 and 18.6.2) that, for the iPhone 15 and 16, have resulted in even better battery life.

iOS 26 on the other hand, a software still in beta but close to the RC and final release, is offering worse battery life. Hopefully they will improve it through the first major updates…

Could be lots of things, different usage/movement pattern, updated infrastructure (cellular/Wifi equipment), updated peripherals (i.e BT gadgets), updated apps, OS updates etc.
