hello,

I find the iCloud system incomplete. I love how I can access documents on any device (Mac, iPhone, iPad) but it needs to be more of an archive so you can get to documents that you haven't worked on for a while. A folder system.

also, saving form pages or numbers can be clunky and sometimes fails.

I like google docs but I want to use apple across all devices. but their idea is good.

is there any news about more functions in upand coming so releases?

what is the best source for finding out what is coming in the future?

thanks,
Carl

I'm not sure what you are getting at here. iCloud does support folders. And older documents are not deleted from iCloud unless you choose to delete them.

Can you give an example? Documents and changes are saved automatically.

If you want real news, Apple is the only official source. Their next major announcement is likely to be at WWDC in June. You can look at some planned features for the next version of OS X, Mountain Lion, on their website. It does have new iCloud related features.

If you are looking for rumors, just follow this site.

after posting the thread I found the answers.
I didn't know you could make the folders just like making app folders. that cool.

as for the saving, how do you save a document from Pages to iCloud?

also, is iWork changing? more features?

also, can you give me a link to the best source of info on the apple site please?

:)

I assume you mean Pages for Mac. With Lion, it is clunky and I'm not sure what the process is. With Mountain Lion, saving to iCloud will be integrated the same way it is on iOS.

I haven't seen any rumors. I assume it will be updated to support the new features in Mountain Lion.

See the link for Mountain Lion above.

And new information about upcoming features on iOS and possibly OS X will probably be released during the WWDC keynote on Jun 11 or so.

If you're looking for a sort of folder system that syncs to all your devices, consider Dropbox. It's a free application that is basically a folder that connects all your computers and iOS machines. It's free too.

As far as Apple updating iCloud to be a folder system, then I'm not aware of that.

nice ok. I am up to speed now. yes, the new lion has the features I am after.
originally when iCloud was released it promised most of it. I am glad they are finally delivering.
When is Summer in the US? I am in Australia.
I am looking forward to it.
do you predict the price will be only 29.95 again? or will it be free?

Summer ends Sep 22. I would bet on a similar release date to Lion last year (July 20).

No guess on price other than it will likely be $29.99 or less.
