Because starting from next year, TSMC will most likely increase their prices by 10% up to 20%.

Well Apple will likely already bake-in that price increase for the new products coming this year (iPhone 13, iPad Mini, Mac mini Pro, MacBook Pro 14" and 16"). There was the thread this morning about a possible price increase for the iPhone 13 over the iPhone 12 and there was the one claiming the MacBook Pro 14" will likely be more expensive than the 4-port 13.3" Intel MacBook Pro.

And for the new Macs and iPads Pro coming next year on "M2", they will also have that price increase baked in at launch.

Aye.

The 14" MacBook Pro will be dropping the TouchBar and Intel, so that is a bit of a savings, but it is adding a 14" MiniLED display, a new case, a significantly more powerful CPU and an exponentially more powerful GPU.

The 13.3" with an i7 is already $1999 so paying the same for a machine significantly more powerful and with a larger display? My Apple Card is ready!
