I have been wondering about this setting for quite some time on my old macbook and new SR Macbook.
In the battery control panel when on battery panel, "Better Battery Life" OR "Better Performance"?

Ive noticed that the battery life doesnt really make *that* much difference on the better battery life setting but the wording bothers me slightly....

Why say "Better Performance"? surely the better battery life option simply decreases the time until the backlight goes off, HDD sleeps and in turn macbook sleeps. I cant see that better battery life actually slows down the macbook in any way? unless someone can prove otherwise?
Hence I dont really believe that "Better Performance" will be achieved between the two options?

IIRC, the better battery life setting will also scale back the processor speed to conserve power, but it may also do that automatically no matter what the setting.
