iPhone 14 Pro Max Better to buy now, or wait for a few months?

So the Best Buy down the road from me had a purple 14 Pro Max 512 Gb available this Friday for pickup and I went ahead and ordered it. This is exactly the one that I wanted.

Really the only question that I have right now... Is it better to wait a few months to get the phone, or should I pick this one up. They'll cancel if I don't pick up in a week and I can always cancel the order.

The reason I ask is that it seems like there are a lot of issues with this release. Camera problems are the ones that most concern me. And I've also seen people talk about issues with a bug that eats up system memory until their phone is full. As well as other things.

This will be my first iPhone and though I have followed iPhone releases in the past, I'm not that familiar with them. With all of the issues reported here, is it maybe a good idea to wait.

I received the 14 PM, and so far it’s working as normal. I didn’t encountered issues with my camera so far, but I’m admittedly not a heavy photographer.

Anyway, all of these issues are supposed to be fixed by a software update next week, I‘m pretty sure that all that backlash will end soon. Depending of your return policy, you can probably pick up the phone this friday, wait for the software update, and return it if apple doesn’t fix the problem with it.

The return period is 14 days. I probably won't be able to pick it up until Sunday. I'm pretty busy on Fri and Sat. I would have preferred to order it from the Apple store but they aren't going to have it available until November. I've bought every phone I've ever had from Best Buy.

And it seems like the most concerning camera issues have to do with things like instagram and I never use that.

I’d say, keep your order and judge by yourself, you’ll have to wait several weeks or months for nothing if this issue is resolved in a matter of days

I always purchase around Christmas. It usually works well but I noticed last year the PRO Max was still showing low availability after a few months of being released. Hopefully this year will be different

That was my original plan. Wait until Black Friday.
