Apple posted a MBP update (5/16/06) which I just ran, and ever since I've been having all sorts of boot problems - it created the thing it was supposed to resolve.

Is anyone else having problems with this update?

For all others, if you're not having issues I'd stay away from this. Might be something with my particular software, but after 8 restarts I still can't get past the blue screen! Ouch!!

Some people were having problems with that, and resetting the PRAM/Power Management Unit solved the problem...

I ran the updates and had no problems, but it will all depend on how people have their machines configured.

Thanks for the tip, but resetting both the PRAM and the PMU didn't make a difference for my MBP.

For other's reference, here's the PMU reset instructions:

Any ideas before a system reinstall?
