I pre-ordered a pair of airpods from bestbuy.com. I was so happy when they arrived on Friday (3/29). I opened the cardboard shipping box, I immediately noticed that the airpods box was unwrapped, there was no factory clear plastic wrapping. I thought that was strange, then I opened the little white box, only to find that there were no airpods in it. The shipping box did not look tampered with. I am pretty sure someone at the bestbuy warehouse must have taken them out of the box before they were shipped. I am not sure if they normally include a packing slip in the box, but there wasn't one. I called bestbuy customer service, I explained that there were no airpods in the airpod box, I was put on hold and I was pleasantly surprised when she came back and said she was issuing me a full credit. Since I knew there was no proof that I was telling the truth, I was worried that there was going to be a fight but I was happy that it was painless. Now I will just order them directly from Apple.

Best Buy has some amazing customer service. I bought an open box ipad mini and when it was delivered, it had an icloud lock on it. They sent me a brand new ipad mini, at the cost of the open boxed one, and told me to just keep the icloud locked one.

Best Buy is generally great. Your experiences can of course vary, but I’ve only had great experiences with them.

...see...I wouldn’t call that “amazing;” I would call that “doing their job” or “covering their asses.”

Also, if they don’t, they go out of business. Otherwise, everyone just shops online.

Maybe I’m just too cynical.
