Hello team,

Why oh why oh why is the smaller bezels thing still such a potent selling point?

Surely there’s more incentive to sell phones than to shrink the bezels incrementally every year or so?

We all know that there’s no need for bezels at all…does someone at Apple have a custom iPhone where the screen truly meets the body edge?

Even the iPhone 1 could’ve had side edge to edge no bezels.

Minor rant over…just a tad boring to see bezels on modern Apple devices…MacBook Pros and iPads too…

Because they have nothing to talk about. I use Apple cases every year and I never care about the bezel. When we use the iPhone, what we really focus is the screen, not something around it.

The iPhone 15’s are supposed to be getting the smallest bezels ever. Haven’t Samsung phones had zero bezels for years? 🙏🏾

How about usability? There are already bezeless Phone available. Mind trying out and using it for an extended period just to feel how things go?
And why hate on bezels? How about lowering manufacturing complexity and easier design with a Little bit better protection On the edge?

Sort of, the bottom of the phone typically has a bezel and even technically the sides (though extremely slim) also remember though, the Samsung phones that have achieved this use curved glass which has downsides like accidental touching which software helps mitigate but is not perfect. Samsung though has been cutting down on the aggressiveness of the curved part of the screen, but still used
