I've been playing Battlefield 2142 on my macbook pro for a while and it seems to be performing terribly. Its a 2.33 C2D 17" Macbook pro with the 256mb x1600, but I have to run at 800x600 with everything set at low to get somewhat playable framerates (even at those settings it seems to run slowly). Could there be a possible solution? I'm running the mac version, which I know has issues and runs through emulation, but it should be performing better than this, right?

I haven't played in a while, and now noticed that the game seems to freeze up about 5 seconds after starting a new multiplayer game. The computer totally locks up and the sound loops, requiring a hard restart. Any solutions/suggestions?
