I will be coming from a 7+ and would like to ask those who switched from a 7/8+ to a X/Xs. Does the screen feel smaller compared to the 7+ or do I need to go for the Xs max? I watch a lot of youtube and games and do you think that the taller yet slimmer screen took a way some of that 16:9 screen from the previous generation? Thanks in advance. CHEERS!

I went from an 8+ to XS. I just got tired of carrying a large phone in my pants pocket (I’m a guy). I have no regrets. I enjoy viewing videos just as much as I did on the 8+. I don’t watch a lot of video on my phone though.

I went from an 8+ to the XR. The Xs was just a tad too small (and expensive) for me. I'm a big guy though so size wasn't an issue with the 8+.

If you like the size of the +, you probably won't like the Xs size. I never got comfortable carrying the 7+ everyday. Tried clip on belt, broke the clip a few times. Went back to a smaller phone (the X), and it fits in shirt pocket. Though not as well as the 4 did back in the day :)

I tried to downgrade from the 7+ to the X last year but just couldn't. Too small.

Sticking with my 7+ for 1 more year.

I went from a 7+ to a X, screen was a bit smaller but the OLED display was much easier to read (for me) than the 7+'s or the iPP 12.9 LCD

I tend to get acquainted to new things easily i.e. large phone to small phone, home button to iOS gestures. so the transition only took about a day.

But I did get a XS Max and really like that one, again the transition was simple.

Given that I also bought a new iPP 12.9 and find that LCD on par with the new phone for reading, so I switched to the iPad as my primary reading device.

Last year I went from the 7+ to the X. I had every Plus phone since the 6. At first the size was too small and then I eventually got used to it. The size doesn’t bother me and I actually prefer either going caseless or using a thin case (I swore I would never go caseless or use a non-bulky Case). I still have my X and will upgrade next year to the 2019 XS Max or whatever they call it.

I went from 8 Plus to XS and couldn’t be happier with it. Much as I loved the screen size of the Plus models, the physical heft of the device was really starting to grate on me.

The XS screen is noticeably narrower but in my opinion the noticeable bump in the sharpness of the screen compensates well. I also find it easier to type accurately.

I went from a 7+ to the X last year and wasn't really happy, it felt too small. I have the Xs Max now and couldn't be happier.

My exact thoughts. The 5.8 X is a great phone, but the most shocking factor for me was it actually felt much smaller to me in the hand than I anticipated. The 6.5 Max was exactly what I was looking for and more in line with the Plus model iPhone sizes.

Damn I really wish I had the funds for a Xs max but I guess the Xs would do for now
