hello!
Yesterday I made an alias of /etc/ on a desktop, but this morning when i boot up my mac i had a "missing /etc/file" then I realize that I didn't make an alias of /etc/, but moved it on the desktop
Is there a way to send /etc/ back home?
Please help me!
Thank you.

PS:sorry for the poor english...

Thank you!

By the way, is there a way to boot on the terminal?
My boot stop at the missing file line, and I can't do anything(the keyboard doesn't reponds)

I think even booting to the terminal will require /etc. If you have another mac, you can use firewire target mode and move the files that way, and you should be a-ok.

You should be able to boot from your Mac OS X CD and use Terminal from the CD to move the file on your hard drive. I've never really done that, but I think it's possible.
