Ok, so I got a new macbook pro yesterday (15.4 inch, 2.53 GHz, so beautiful!, haha), and wanted to get my itunes library from my PC on it. My computers are on a network, so I went to File>Export Library on my PC and exported it to the shared folder. So then on my Macbook, I held option down while opening iTunes to select a library, and selected the .itl file that I had taken from the shared folder. Now, in iTunes, it says the name of all of my songs, but it has the exclamation point in front of the songs and when I click it says the song could not be found because the original location could not be found. Also, the songs are completely deleted from the iTunes on my PC. Somebody help! I won't be able to go to sleep until I fix this, haha

That's because the music isn't actually on your computer. You need to transfer the actual files to your Mac.
Well that's not really true. As long as your networked disk will always be available when you try to play songs, then the song files can remain on the remote networked disk.
Do you care about having anything besides the songs, for instance your star ratings or whatever? And are you trying to get both computers to work off the same itunes library so that the library will always be the same on both computers? Because if not, then you can just drag and drop all your songs into itunes on the new computer. But before you do that, try opening itunes' preferences, click the "advanced" tab, then for the music folder location there's a button called "change". Click that "change" button and show it where the music folder is located on the remote networked drive, and you should be good to go.
I did think about that, but it wasn't immediately clear to me that the songs were on a networked disk. If this is the case then I am indeed wrong ;-)
