the thing is a bought an external iomega disk 250gb

it came formated with a fat32 system (i cannot copy any file larger than 6gb)

ive read that if i format it to HFS+ Jorunal (dont know what journal means) i can copy files larger than 6gb

but if i use the external disk on my windows partition too, and microchoft cannot read this file system :S

what can i do?
is it a way i can use the same file system in both os? and write a file bigger than 6gb?

any help is appreciated :p

The answer might be Macdisk. I haven't used it personally but it should allow you to read the Mac filesystem on your Windows box.

You need to make more than one partition. Both OS-X and Windows can read and write to Fat-32 but it will not handle partitions larger than 32GB. Your Mac will be able to read a Windows NTFS partition but not write to it. Windows can neither read nor write to an OS-X HFS+ formatted partition.

You will have to make some compromise based upon your needs.
