I've got Big Sur installed on a Mid-2015 Mac Book Pro. I've run the 11.2 update, but after an extremely slow update and reboot process, it still shows update 11.2 as available to install. I've done this twice. The About screen shows that I'm still running 11.1.

Any tricks to get this thing to install properly?

Same issue has my boss with a MacBook Pro 2017. I had the same problem with the 11.1 update and I fixed by reinstalling the whole OS....

Powered my laptop down. Left it off for an extended period of time, then restarted. 11.2 fully installed without an issue. Not sure if it was just timing or if the power-down actually helped, but worth a shot if you're stuck.

I had that for a bit with my late 2013 rMBP (the earliest supported model) and what I did was hold down the option key to get the boot picker and I saw a boot volume I never saw before entitled 'Installer.'

Picked that as the boot and the update (I think it was for final 11.1?) went smoothly after that, though you could argue that I waited just long enough for Apple's servers to become available again.

nothing help yet, restart, do it all over again..
