Try it for yourself and let me know how it goes. I'm on an M1 Mac mini but maybe it doesn't affect Intel Big Sur 11.3 users?

* Connect AirPods Pro or any other bluetooth device with a mic
* Open Safari or Safari Technology Preview
* Play any YouTube video you want
* Open Sound Preferences
* Select your Bluetooth device's input while it is outputting sound
* Wait a couple seconds with the Sound Preferences open
* ???
* BUG!

You can also reproduce this using Audio MIDI Setup to pick the input as the same bluetooth device as output when using Safari.

The normal behaviour is for the fidelity of the sound to degrade due to codec changes to accommodate the mic input but instead it's crackly/stuttery too when operating at 16Khz mode. This does not occur on the Music app or with other software from what I can tell and didn't seem to happen on 11.2.3. The Mac Mini this happens on is also a fresh unit with a fresh OS install to debug a different issue with display problems and I can confirm the same issue occurs on a separate user profile without any Apple ID added.

I tried both MP3 and M4A formats in-browser with the same stuttering on both AirPods Pro and Sony SRS-XB22 speakers. Plays fine without the microphone engaged but the moment it changes codec to support microphone use... boom, it stutters!

I've reported the issue using the feedback tool on the Apple website but I'm wondering if there's a better way to get Apple's attention to get this fixed ASAP?

Same on Intel Macs.

BigSur 11.4

As another Bug case - you cant use AirPods mics to record audio records via QuickTime, as soon as you hit "record" it begins to make a loud noise (be careful!).

Tested on MBP 16 and MBP 2015 (15''). I think Apple just break their audio core service coz it also causes a "clicking" sound on MBP16 speakers.
