Previous MacOS minor .dot releases seemed be more uneventful.

Recent high CPU usage reports after upgrading to 11.6.3 are alarming.

What's your experience with 11.6.3?

I’m running it on my 2019 MBP right now and not having any problems. That said I installed it because I had to revert from Monterrey due to the excessive battery drain when the computer was asleep.

I just installed the macOS 11.6.3 right now, along with Safari 15.3. This should solve the security issue Safari 15 had? Or this was only patched on Monterey 12.2?

EDIT: I’ve been comparing the security pages of Safari 15.3 for Big Sur and Monterey, and they have both the same 4 Webkit vulnerabilities fixed. We can assume that thanks to Big Sur 11.6.3 and Safari 15.3 we have the same level of security fixes than macOS 12.2 Monterey.

11.6.3 and Safari 15.3 installed on iMac 2017 and 2015 since 2 days, no issues so far.

I've been running 11.6.3 since release day and haven't noticed any issues, on a current-model iMac. I'd likely notice high CPU usage because that'd presumably make the fans kick in.

SMB file share copy/paste implementation is weird. One of two shared subfolders appear and disappear. And, causes extended beach ball when trying to shutdown after completing copy/paste. On Windows and Linux it just works.
