I have recently upgraded my iMac 21.5inch from Catalina to Big Sur. I now find that my recently purchased copy of SuperDuper a reasonable piece of back up software does not work on Big Sur, even Dave from SuperDuper agrees Big Sur does not like SuperDuper. He does report the ShirtPocket are working on it, so maybe in the not too distant future there will be a new update to SuperDuper. I am looking forward to that happening because I like SD a lot.

Regards from Keith in Derby England.

Super Duper 3.5 which supports Big Sur is available as a beta. https://www.shirt-pocket.com/blog/

I must say that after being a long time user of SuperDuper! I gave up on it recently and bought Carbon Copy Cloner, which is an excellent backup utility.

Unless you have a Mac or work in some IT field that needs Big Sur you can run Mojave or Catalina and not have to worry about all these issues.

Though I think incompatibility with a beta is understandable. It could just be an Apple bug that will be fixed for the final release or it could be something actually requiring a fix from the cloners.
