Did anyone noticed...?
  • Big Sur..... Missing "Time announcement" every hrs or 30 min....

Or have our friends from Apple moved it to another place in Sys preferences or the menu bar...?

Like three fingers drag. Instead of in trackpad settings it’s in Accessibility. Doesn’t make any sense. I don’t want to tell how many hours I had lost trying to find it. ?
use the search function.....

@matrix07 is not wrong. It doesn't matter and doesn't work how you are showing it, if you want to use it with trackpad. What you are showing may work if a Magic Mouse is connected. Setting exists in Accessibility > Pointer Control > Trackpad Options when it could easily be under Trackpad in System Preferences if you want to work it with Trackpad.

Exactly.

And when something is in trackpad setting and next update it’s gone from an appropriate place to set it. The first natural thinking will not be it could be hidden somewhere else entirely but where it’s moved within that appropriate place.

It took me a very long time once to find out where the settings had been moved to, some years ago.. don't even remember now when did they get moved to Accessibility. It is beyond crazy, almost like some sadist is playing a joke on those of us who want that option, making us work for it extra hard.

I’ve learned, in my 15 years of “meh”ing Apple and “PC Macs”, something, to which I have a saying I use...

“Apple will do, what Apple will do.”

So, the next time Apple does something you don’t understand or don’t particularly like... just remember and quote the mantra:

“Apple will do, what Apple will do.” ;)
