Big Sur Public Beta Airplay Audio

Is anyone else unable to get audio when airplaying to Apple TV to the TV on the Big Sur Beta?
The sound will only come out of my MacBook speakers but can't get any audio to the TV, does anyone have any workarounds?

Works for me, just make sure that the device is selected in the Output setting on the volume slider.

I have the same issue. The sound comes from iMac and the video goes to Apple TV. If you choose the sound device in sound setting, the airplay stops.

Maybe upgrade Apple TV to tvOS beta will solve the problem. But it is not easy. So I use airplay with my other macs which are still in macOS 10.15.6.

Ah maybe. I definitely have the beta tvOS on mine. I have used AirPlay to do Zoom calls for weeks on Big Sur.

Same issue here macOS Big Sur 11.0.1 and tvOS 14.2. I will upgrade the tvOS to the new beta and see if it works. Nothing helped. In the end I realized the issue is related to playing the audio throughout my Sony receiver. Instead of hooking it directly to the receiver I connected the appleTV to my TV and since I have ARC on my TV I could listen to the audio selecting TV on the receiver. Weird because I had the other setup working for years. Anyway at least I found a way to listen the Apple TV audio through my receiver.
