Big Sur upgrades in K2100M upgraded Imac 2011

Hi,
I have a beloved imac mid 2011, wotking perfectly after upgrade with Xeon CPU and K2100 GPU and BigSur, 11.0.1.

My question is, is it safe to use Patched sur to upgrade to 11.5 or 11.6? Documentation say yes, but I prefer tohave it cofirmed by live expereience

i am using a imac11,3 (2010) with upgraded gpu (gtx860m) and I install 11.6 with opencore-patcher successful
there are no problems - your gpu should also work, so far I know...

thanks for reply, but you did a direct installation of 11.6 (from 11.0.1) or from catalina or other previos versions? My GPU work great with BigSur, is only a matter of upgrade

I did a clean installation... it was time too cleanup my system...

I would like to preserve mine, but, since it has not a defualt EFI bios, also bot is not standard, so I am very afraid to do the upgrade using patched sur or simialr, because also timemachine does not provide a real restore point

Hello,

How do you use iMac with Xeon and Sleep Issue. I put iMac sleep severals time a day and without this I would need power on or off the workstation.

If you mean stop, I don't use it, I use to turn it off, I use only screen and disk pause
