This is kind of a weird issue. I found that if I have the window tinting based on wallpaper turned on (System Preferences > General) and I add a second desktop the tinting gets all out of whack to a very purple color. It doesn't matter which wallpaper I choose or light vs dark. Has anyone expierienced this? I just turned off tinting for now but was curious. Attached an example of the color.

Mine sometimes (but not always) goes into the weird purple color when I make apps fullscreen.
Thank you for the heads-up on the window tinting setting. It was driving me crazy to try to figure out what the root cause was.

I have the same issue on an M1 MacBook Pro. Turning off window tinting seams the be the only permanent solution. Switching the resolution back and forth fixes the issue for some time.

Has there ever been a better solution to this? Never had it show up on Big Sur on my MBP, but now on the M1 Air its a purple headache

It might be an M1 thing. Who knows. I just disabled tinting. Honestly the tinting thing is not a feature I care about or miss being off.
