Turn 3G off if you have any type of push notification active. Tried it today and wow... Id normally be around 85% right about now during the day... but currently im around 97%.

hehe, as i do agree that airplane mode is the best when it comes to battery conservation...however, it cripples the phone =)

Edge though at least lets you keep your device for what it is...a PHONE...

I dont get great Edge phone quality though, sometimes sounds just awful, and disconnects if i go somewhere like a supermarket or home depot. 3G however lets me talk pretty much everywhere....even the only tunnel that we have in my county =) Edge will drop off in the middle of the tunnel or in a elevator.

For the most battery savings possible, you need to hold down the button on top of the phone. Then slide the red bar, that will put it into extra battery save mode. I am sure you can get 2 weeks to a month or more from your charge by doing that one thing alone.:)

Hah.

Biggest battery saver=Airplane mode.

Seriously, I can last 2 weeks with it on.

Pretty big difference between turning the radio off, and switching signals. I realize you were just try to be a jerk, but thats ok...

3G + Push notifications = Insane battery drain
Edge + Push notifications = Very little

Pretty simple really. Only turn 3G on when you need it - IE, web surfing.
