We fixed a lot of problems in this build and added the ability to select the hour you want to receive your notifications.

Some users experienced a duplicate bill issue with 1.6.0 + push. You need to manually remove the duplicated bills or start fresh. We didn't want to just start deleting user data without confirmation. As always, if you're having trouble, please let us know so we can help you.

We're already working on 2.0, with the revamped interface we promised. Our designer is sending things over in chunks so we're hoping to have it out for you guys soon (with a new icon that's a little easier to see too :)). Free upgrade, of course.

Please let us know what you think. :)

Thanks. This is a great app, it has definitely helped me pay bills on time. the push notification is a great feature, and the custom time makes it better. Now, I can get my alerts when I'm at home after work.

Thanks again

Thank you. If you have any trouble at all, please contact us. We're always happy to help. I think a lot of folks are confused, so we're getting some strange 1 star reviews. C'est la vie.

EDIT: If you are having a problem with bills not showing up, PLEASE see http://bit.ly/showbill

I've been bitten by the "I don't understand, so I'll give a 1-star review" issue too. I've learned to shrug it off.

Said it when I first bought and will say it again, love the app. It's very helpful. Great job.

Yep, the timing really sucks. Oh well. The take-away is we need to improve the interface, which we're doing. :)

Another thing, we just lowered the price to $0.99 again..just a short term sale. And you'll love what we have in store for 2.0. As soon as we get the revised icons in, I'll post a screenshot. 2.0 will be a free update. :) It might take a little while before the new price is shown on the App Store.

I bought this app before push was implemented...love this app! Can't wait to see 2.0!

thank you for the feedback. 2.0 is coming along pretty well. we just got some icons but we have to sift through them and get them into the app, etc. :D

I have a problem with the new push feature. The actual push notification is fine, I get the popup message and the icon badge. However, once I open Billminders and close it, the badge is gone, even though the bill is still in unpaid status. Basically, whenever I get a notification, I open the app to see what bill it is that is due, then I just close the app (not paying the bill right away). Could you fix this so that the badge is still showing? Thanks.

The badge should be correct upon closing it. I think what's happened is they got out of sync due to the duplication bug in 1.6.0. If you don't mind, please back up your data using the backup screen, then restore it. That will force BillMinder to resync its data with the server. Please email support at return7 dot com or PM me here if that doesn't work out for you. :)

Ok, so I know this is an older thread but I have a question about Billminder I'm hoping someone can help me with. I'm thinking about buying it, but I wanted to see if anyone knows if the badge notifications work with the Ipod touch. I've got a wireless router at my house which my Ipod uses to get the internet, but I turn my Ipod off every night. Would I have to leave it on (or turn it on in the morning for a while so it can receive it's push notifications)? And if so, that would update the badge notifications, correct? I'm using a lite version of a different bill app right now and I have to open it up for the badge notification to change, so I'm trying to avoid that. Thanks all!

Feel free to email us directly at support@return7.com regarding BillMinder so folks here at MR aren't bothered by old threads.

Your iPod does need to be on for push notifications to come in. It's my understanding that Apple does queue undeliverable notifications but this is best effort service.

An easy way around this would be to set push notifications from BillMinder to come in at a time you know the iPod will be on (say 1PM in the afternoon). Please note that we charge 99c per year for push notifications to *help* fund the dedicated server that sends the notifications. This subscription does not auto-renew and is paid through iTunes. Also, the data on the server is entirely anonymous (no account names, balances -- basically due dates an an id that ties it to your phone). http://bit.ly/pushfaq for more info. :)
