iOS Binary tested and qualified for OS 3.0

When you replace a binary file it now asks you if the binary has been tested and qualified for OS 3.0.

The binary I am submitting was built in Xcode 3.1.2 for OS 2.2. I did however test it in Xcode 3.1.3 for OS 3.0 and it worked fine.

Does this mean the binary I submitted was tested and qualified for OS 3.0 even though it was built for OS 2.2 in Xcode 3.1.2?

Their question is phrased poorly. It's impossible to test the 'binary' that is being uploaded on OS 3.0 or anything else. I assume from this that they really mean, has this 'app' been tested on OS 3.0. However does this mean, this app built for OS 2.x or this app built for 3.x? Maybe it means this app built however this binary is built.

I just checked the box and I'm not going to worry about it. I tested my app on the 3.0 Sim, which can only be done by building for 3.0.

I'm guessing the whole point of the checkbox is to nag developers to make sure they've done some kind of testing on 3.0.

Thanks Phoney. I also figured it was just to make developers think about 3.0.

The question is horrible, and actually imposible. Obviously you can't submit an app for 2.2 saying that specific binary was tested on 3.0. What a horribly phrased question!
