Apple seems very weak on security (except for filevault software level encryption). What I would like to know is if there is a bios level protection that blocks the user from reaching the OS splashscreen? This is basic stuff and I would be surprised if MBP doesnt have it!!! Anyone?

sorry to blurt in but what other features are there in the EFI?? where u can change boot devices, or change the time and change CPU multiplyers??? all that sorta bios crap? is EFI command based or is there a GUI behind it?
