Hey ifans, this is my first JB and my first cydia App is Bitesms on the iphone 5,so the moment I open it it crashes.Should I tweak some settings or there seems to be some issue with the app itself?

Kindly help me out!

Have you updated Mobile substrate to Cydia substrate? Also, are you sure you've added the biteSMS beta repo for version 8? The repo is http://test-cydia.bitesms.com

Go to Cydia and search for Cydia Substrate, then install it.

In Cydia at the bottom choose Manage, then choose Sources. Click Edit on the top right, then Add on the top left. In the box that pops up type test-cydia.bitesms.com (the http:// will already be in the pop-up box), then click Add Source. After adding this repo, click on it and from there you can install the iOS 7 version of biteSMS.

I am having this same problem I will be trying this as soon as I get home from work. I am a NOOB at jailbreaking and I have no idea what I am doing to an extent. Thanks to Sital for being nice enough to share the info that they have learned and pass it along to us NOOBS.

Thanks

Thanks for it,I got it!But how to know if the tweaks or apps from Cydia are safe or not?I m new to this like i mentioned before so scared to download any tweaks so is there anyway how I can find out or is there any way to find out trusted apps with any logo or marks over them?

The default Cydia repos are fine and as long as you add reputable repos you'll be okay. Google a repo to find out more about it. If it's a smaller repo like for an individual developer, you can check here to see what everyone thinks about the tweak.

Take your time and research - don't blindly add repos or tweaks.

Thank you and if a tweak causes issues and hits down to boot loop how can I get my device up and running without doing restore?

And yes I will google tweaks before downloading them :)
