Okay I have searched and found nothing, so forgive me if this is obvious, I am SUPER FRUSTRATED.

Apparently there is a way in BiteSMS to turn off text tones from INDIVIDUAL contacts. Yesterday I inadvertently added a second person to whom I text to this list.

I remember seeing some sort of popup, but I must have dismissed it right when it came up and I didn't have time to read it.

So the symptoms are, next to the senders name there is a bell icon with a slash through it. I still get texts, just no notification (sound or vibrate, as far as I can tell).

I have NO IDEA how to fix this and it is probably the most annoying "feature" of BiteSMS.

Any ideas?

:confused::mad:

I tried bitesms but it seems to drain my battery. I have 4s. My son has the 4 and it doesn't drain his battery. I can't figure out why.

I have the same bell with slash through it and I cannot find the feature on the BiteSMS settings menu to turn it on or off??? Is this just a manual thing to hold the pic on the message list???

In the conversation list, whichever conversation has that icon, just tap and hold it until it is removed. Its a feature you can use to disable all notifications for that conversation.
