iPhone BiteSMS video messaging doesn't work

My friend just sent me a video, file extension .3gp and when i click on it on it opens, but it's just a blank screen with the name of the video with the file extension and size of it. There is no way to make it play though, I have to unhide my stock messaging app, then respring and view it in through that. My friend is sending me the video via her Android (not sure if that matters)

Is there a fix for this?

edit: also another way to view it was I saved it to the camera roll (via biteSMS) then I go to my camera roll and can view it there.
