So. I was just at Macworld, and listening to a presentation at the Adobe booth... At the end of each presentation they give away some prizes... The one I got was a package containing:

A 30-day trial of CS3 for Windows
A flash drive containing information about CS3
A DVD containing Lynda lessons on how to use CS3

This "prize" strikes me as odd, because...

The Lynda lessons are useless to anyone who doesn't own the software (why would they assume I do?)
So, you'd think they'd at least bundle a trial I can use (you know, a Mac trial, since I'm at Macworld....) But no, they give me a Windows trial? Also, most companies give away (Mac) trial discs to anyone who wants one... not as part of a prize?

Just found it odd, and thought I'd share. :)

Man, Adobe really has gotten cheap. I attended their regional launch seminar for the original Creative Suite and they gave away multiple copies of CS, a couple of wide-format printers and a bunch of grab bag freebies.

You'd think after charging 1700 for a software suite, they'd have a few bucks to throw at their marketing materials.
