I posted before that the standard font in preference pane stated Geneva but has morphed into a deformed unreadable arial in Google. I now find that that is the same weird font in all the web pages. I reinstalled Safari after trashing the other app but the problem is still there. How do I uninstall everything that has to do with Safari ? This is very bizarre. The last thing I did was install some new fonts into my Fonts folder and this happened after that. I can't remove the offending deformed arial from the pref folder in Safari. Any ideas !!!! I'm stymied

It's not Safari that's causing the problem -- it's the fonts. Try getting rid of the fonts you installed, and restart the machine -- it sounds like they are conflicting with some system font or something, and I would be willing to bet that this will fix the issue...
