I took the plunge and upgraded to Yosemite but having a couple of rather bizarre, puzzling issues:

  • In finder, my All the files tab is displaying my folder names in blacked out square boxes

  • Despite having the latest iTunes installed, my App Store keeps displaying iTumes software update available and cannot get rid of it.

Is anyone having similar issues or know of a solution to the above?

Thanks

On the font thing and black bars, I had the exact issue. But after changing the view a few times (icons, list, cover flow, back again), it went away permanently eventually.

I had that happen when Yosemite was reindexing everything. An hour or so later - everything was fine.
