Help!
For some strange reason I suddenly don't have any video when watching 'My Movies', 'Trailers' and 'Video Podcasts', the audio plays OK but I get just a black screen!

I can see the menus, navigate around the various menus, load Boxee/XBMC and play avi's etc but not anything through the main :apple:TV Movies/Podcasts menu?

I get this once or twice per week. I have to restart the Apple TV to get it working again. As you describe - I can see the menus, album art etc, but when playing video there is no picture but I get the sound.

I keep running diagnostics and praying for it to tell me the hardware is faulty so that I put the piece of junk in the bin.

Please Apple - fix these problems! The Apple TV is an amazing idea, but currently just SO frustratingly unreliable.

Thanks for your reply.
I've restarted several times and also run the diagnostics but it says that it's OK.
One other bizarre thing is that when you select 'My Movies' you get that preview square on the left hand side but these are just all white!
When I select 'My Photos' I get the preview of the photo's etc but only a white box and just audio when I try and play anything in 'My Movies'.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but typically when I get a white screen in the preview pane, it means the video is corrupt. The only time this has happened to me is when tagging it with itunes, metaX or lostify goes bad. I recently had a situation where I tagged a season of a tv show with lostify, but forgot to tag the genre. When I went back and decided to just add the tag in itunes, it corrputed the file. One thing I didn't try was 'cleaning' the m4v with a program called squeegy, or something with a name like that. sorry.

But this also happens when I try and watch a movie trailer within 'Movies/Trailers'. I see all the movies and can even select one but when I select play I just get the audio with no video.
