This is one reason it's frustrating to have a Mac and want to play games on it. Too little, too late.

I was actually hoping to play this one someday, but it's so much cheaper for PC 3 years after it came out, I don't feel I can justify a $50 purchase. Hopefully this gets better someday, and we don't have to rely on crappy Cider ports or native ports that come so much later.

Yup, too late, too expensive. Most people will buy the cheap PC version and bootcamp it. It's all very well the porting houses moaning that they aren't selling much but with situations like this it's hardly a surprise.

What will the system specs be of this game?

Will it run good on a PPC 2ghz 17" G5 iMac? with a 9600 video card?

Amusingly, if I understand the Windows and OS X requirements correctly, there are numerous Macs that will play the game in Windows but not OS X (because, I believe, it only requires a 1.6GHz processor, and more importantly, will play on GMA950 in Windows).
