Hey Guys,

has anyone else on their iphone 14 pro a black spot when using the 1x Camera ?

This really sucks :(

Looks like some dust under the lens. Apple should replace with no issues. I just had my launch day 13 Pro replaced a couple weeks ago for the same issue.

Buy apple care if you haven’t (even if just a month worth), then message Apple support and ask for an express replacement. They should send you a new one before you’re required to send the old one back.

You might be able to get it without purchasing AC depending on the rep you get.

I believe they will have replacement readily available for warranty purposes so it doesnt hurt to contact applecare support and see if they have express replacement available.

Did you chat with Apple support? They will be able to help you get a new device.

Hahahahah lol you are right !!! I just hitted it softly… moved again

Thanks man ! ❤️ should I still take the new device ? Or not ?
If it were me, I personally would. That foreign object is still in there and may interfere with the camera again at any time in the future.

If you do it online with AppleCare they'll send you a new one before you have to send back the old one, so you won't be without a phone and can be worry-free. At least for now you can take smudge-free photos!

Thanks man 🙌 really appreciate that forum!

It must be something inside the actual lens, near the sensor. Dust on the outer lens will be invisible. Only thing that can creat this is dust or something just over the sensor, just like it happens with DSLR with dust on sensor when changing lenses, or dust in the back lens

Sad that I have this issue with years old iPhone now. Started to happen like 2 months ago.

I’m sorry to hear that. Do you have Applecare? I encountered this same issue about a year ago with my launch day 13 Pro. After I provided a couple sample shots, Apple replaced it under AC no questions asked.

Not new iPhone now so out of warranty long time ago. It is the telescope 2x lens and look like most of the reported issue online is this 3x lens. May be it is zoomed so very easy to find out. People say drop the phone or shake it can resolve it since just a dust practice but no luck for me so far with case on.
