Black Friday Deals on Apple TV

I've been thinking about getting an Apple TV this black friday. I won't be getting it at Bestbuy as their price is 50 dollars higher than Apple's 229.

I know the ATV maxes out at 720p. Do you think that is a hardware or software (or both) issue. If Apple someday decides to bump up the spec to 1080p do you think it could be a software fix to the current ATVs or would it need new hardware to make it work?

I think the apple tv will get a update next year. Smaller, more powerful.

BestBuy does price matching. All they need to do is contact Apple and verify the lower price.

I got a 40gig ATV from Best Buy on clearance for 124.99! I am also going to throw in a 320 gig HD into it too. Bad thing is my wife wont let me use it till XMAS!!

I've been waiting and waiting, like many of us.

My wife wanted an iPod speaker dock so she could listen to songs easily upstairs with the kids on her iTouch.
$100 for a decent sounding iPod docking station, AppleTV $221 total delivered to our door, no brainer to get AppleTV now.

Just ordered it 5 minutes ago!
(honestly I saw this thread and that triggered me to buy it, thx for posting)

Only Q is, what shall I do with my 8 year old-still working 400 Sony mega CD changer now....I'll check ebay to see if anyone will want to buy that, BB has the 300 disc for $200.

Will be playing it in the family room set-up.
