Any word on special Black Friday pricing yet? Itching to buy a Blackbook, but want to save a few bucks if I can. Also, any idea what time Apple stores open that day?

Thanks, Mike

To the best of my recollection, Apple does not do Black Friday pricing... but Amazon is usually a few dollars cheaper than Apple at least for the exact same thing. Also, you might want to consider checking the refurb site, see if the new ones are listed yet.

Last year's black friday discount was about $100 on macbooks, my wife and I each got one. They were pretty tight-lipped about it.. no advertising/advanced warning that I know of.. I think the price was good online, too.

They probably don't do the $100 discount on top of an educational discount huh...

Is it listed somewhere? I mean, how did you find out that there was a sale?

Thanks
Eric

Just walking through the mall and stopped into the store out of habit. They were handing out cards that listed out all the discounts. Guess it was my lucky day.

Oh, it was in the stores.... I thought it was online.

Thanks for the clarification.

So what exactly are the discounts? I don't see them on line.........only a mention that there will be special one day pricing.

Thanks, Mike

Last year, I think it was $100 off a Macbook, $10-$20 off an iPod, etc. Not very large discounts, but every bit helps.

In cases where they have special pricing, such as "Black Friday" specials, are other discounts still available? For example, would one be able to use a student discount in addition to the Black Friday promotional rate, and save approximately 200.00 off a MB?

TIA for any feedback.

OM^^

Probably not. But it never hurts to ask! ;)

I'm trying for the same thing..........

Student discout......$100.
Blk Fri discount.......$100.
Ipone rebate..........$100.

$300. off! :DYEAH, BABY!:D

Hope I'm not dreaming.

Last year's Black Friday discount on the MacBook was $101. If you qualified for the student discount, the $101 was taken off of the student price. I saved a couple of hundred dollars that way. I bought mine online.

Does anyone know if any mac resellers will have a sale on Black Friday (such as Macmall.com)?

fyi, I was on hold with an apple store today and the recording said something to the effect of: "Be sure to come on in on Friday for a fun-filled day with lots of surprises." Seems inevitable at this point that there will be discounts... but how much and on what prods remains to be seen.

As far as I know, you can't combine discounts like the black friday and the student one.

I think that is dumb. Basically means there is no discount at all. I would have bought a macbook for sure on Friday if it worked with the student discount. Now I will just wait...... and rethink my purchase...... maybe consider that nice dell m1330...... hmmm.... lol;)
