Hey everyone! Im looking to pick up either a Canon 6D or a 7D Mark II for Black Friday. Is anyone aware of any upcoming black friday deals for this year? The 5DM3 is also in the scope, but unless it drops to 1,600 or so, its too expensive.

When looking to make a purchase, I use this sight in the UK to check for upcoming deals.

I'm sure there would be similar ones in the US.

I use canonpricewatch , a bit simpler than the one you listed

I know Canon had a glitch on their site a few days ago where you were able to stack 27% off any refurbished body. The 5DMK3 was being sold for 1,599.00 :/ they honored all the orders too. Im hoping on black friday they have a similar sale

I'm not trying to derail your purchase snsking but I'm huge Anti-Black Friday and your post caught my eye. Black Friday and other non sense have gotten way out of control in the U.S. I think the biggest shame of it all, other than Mom's pushing each other out of the way in Target, is that people have to come in and work on the Friday after Thanksgiving. Many have to come in on Thanksgiving in retail to get ready for Black Friday. It shouldn't be that way to save 20% on a smoothie maker.

I'm pretty stoked about REI completely shutting down on Black Friday. http://optoutside.rei.com I think a few other outdoor retailers have joined them. I hope many more will so the holidays can get back to what they are meant to be for us all.

Oh...and you'd probably get a better deal on electronics on "Cyber Monday" in the U.S. It's the Monday following Black Friday.
