Black rain problem

I have a iphone 3gs and the first time i tryed jailbreaking with black rain it went flawless .. as soon as i restored to my factory settings because i had to go to apple store to get it checked it has been different. Every time i RUN black snow the usb sign and itunes comes up but after that its a black screen I tryed like 100 times no luck... well thanks for your help.

Is it the same iphone or a new one?
Did you check to see if you have the old or new bootloader?

Sounds like they gave you a new 3GS with new bootrom. If so, it's called a tethered jailbreak.

Have you tried a DFU restore to 3.1.2 and then trying blackra1n again?

With all due respect, if you can't even figure out the model of your phone, you should not be jailbreaking.
