Just did the firmware update on my Studio Display and I’m left with a black scree showing the message “support.apple.com/display/restore”…… anyone experiencing the same? I would appreciate some help as Apple (The support I was messaging with) seem clueless!

Maybe just put the original cable from display to the Mac without using a hub or extension cable. That was the solution for me.

But yes, it would be nice if you post also your solution so everyone get the information.

Hi Everyone,
The solution for me was to plug in another monitor using the HDMI cable and the firmware update completed. My Studio display is now working again. The Apple solution of unplugging the thunderbolt cable was a fail… cheers!
