This is brand new iPod nano 4th generation in sealed box, no hands have touched it.

Swollen battery pressing up against the back of the LCD, pushing it into the display glass. Common issue with sealed iPod Nano 4th Gen's

:apple: iPhone 5 32GB White, rMBP 13" i5/8/256GB, iPad 3 16GB, iPod 5.5G 240GB, Shure SE425's :apple:

Does it mean that display is already damaged? Or if I release the pressure it will go back to normal?
Is there a way to relieve it without unboxing?

The problem cannot be fixed without replacing the battery, display may also be permanently deformed if it has been like this for a long time. Did you buy this iPod recently or have you had it since 2008/9?

Bought it from auction, don't know original purchase date.

Learn how to crop your photos dude. Uploading 3mb pics is no bueno unless you want me to make a movie poster out of it.

Sorry, but the battery inside which is bloated, hence pushing and protruding the LCD screen against the screen.
