I have had a black solo loop for a month. There’s been this filmy residue on it since day one. I’ve washed it, tried different options, but nothing works. Apple is sending me a free replacement band. Has anyone else experienced this and not been able to get their solo loop clean even though trying to do so? Thoughts?

I returned a deep navy solo loop because the coating began to wear off in only 1 month. I just got a used black one, and it’s a bit shiny on the edges. Sadly, silicone just doesn’t last long in pristine shape. Some Volos might be better than others though, as I’ve read some people saying that theirs still looks pristine.

I think that’s the UV coating. When you twist the band or rub it, it creates a white, powdery looking film on it.
