Black sport band glossy

I received my Series 2 watch about a month ago now and am loving it, however the outside of the band with holes in it has now started to go glossy and isn't smooth to run your finger over, whilst the side with the pin still has a matte finish and feels totally smooth, is this to be expected with wear?

Yeah dark color bands tend to do that

It's likely the band having wear and changing based off being frequently handled.
